When I'm not building websites I probably am busy hiking in the Rocky Mountains on nice weather days. On marginal and down right cold and snowy days I enjoy working on my electric bicycle, watching foreign movies and baking.

I've been living without a car for over a year and a half now. That's about 1,000 gallons of gasoline I did not buy! Wow it adds up fast! I learned to get around via a bicycle while living in Germany, but after moving to the Colorado Springs area the summer of 2010 I found out the hills were a bit too much for everyday commuting. Hence my electric bike has become my commuter vehicle of choice. Hoping to build my second electric bike this spring and incorporate better batteries and a multiple speed electric motor including changeable gears to help on the really steep inclines.

The photo on this page is a picture of me on my way to work the winter of 2010 in Stuttgart Germany. Had a great time working at an American youth center. Was difficult to leave the many kids with amazing talents and skills. Also it was heart pulling to leave the German friends and customs I had gotten to know and appreciate. Have you ever tasted German bread and cultured butter... yum. Well, I still don't get why most German people are so healthy and fit!
